Data Security: Introducing Devicelock
Keep your sensitive data protected and enforce security for the devices in your organisation with DeviceLock.
- Is your sensitive data protected?
- Are you controlling the data leaving your network?
- Could you tell what data is being downloaded from your network at any time?
It only takes a few seconds for a competitor or rogue member of staff to steal vital data from your computers. A USB memory stick (or even an iPod) could be plugged straight into a PC to copy your entire client list. This same method could also introduce a virus that could be catastrophic for your business.
And they don’t even need to have Administrator rights.

Main Features & Benefits:
Access Control
Control the groups or users that have access to your systems; you can even drill down to set access permissions for individuals to particular times of the day or week.
USB White List
Authorise a specific device to access the USB port, while blocking any others.
Media White List
Authorise specific DVD/CD-ROM discs that are uniquely identified by data signature, even when DeviceLock has blocked the DVD/CD-ROM drive. DeviceLock also enables you to determine permitted users and groups so that only authorised users can access the DVD or CD-ROM contents.
Temporary White List
Grant temporary access to a USB device by issuing an access card rather than using the standard DeviceLock permissions procedures.
Device/Port Auditing
Provide your IT staff with a comprehensive record of port and device activity, including uploads and downloads by user and filename in the standard Windows Event log. Audit records can also be automatically collected from remote computers and stored centrally in the SQL server.
Data Shadowing
Significantly enhance the corporate IT auditor’s ability to be sure that sensitive information hasn’t left the premises on removable media. DeviceLock captures full copies of files that are copied to authorised removable devices, burned to CD/DVD or even printed by permitted end users.
Mobile Device Data Leakage Prevention
Set granular access control, auditing, and shadowing rules for mobile devices that operate with Windows Mobile or Palm OS. You can set permissions centrally with fine granularity. DeviceLock detects the presence of mobile devices that are trying to access ports through USB, COM, IrDA or Bluetooth interfaces.
Tamper Protection
All local administrators are not automatically given DeviceLock administration privileges. Your Chief Security Office or other designated administrator will maintain discrete control.
Group Policy Integration
You can choose between a variety of DeviceLock management consoles that include the ability to manage settings using Windows standard Group Policy interface, thus making it more straightforward for busy administrators to merge hardware lock-out tasks as part of their overall systems management workload.
TrueCrypt & PGP Whole Disk Encryption Integration
Detect encrypted PGP and TrueCrypt disks (USB flash drives and other removable media) and implement specific ‘encrypted’ permissions to access them. For enterprises that are standardised on encryption solutions, DeviceLock enables administrators to centrally define and control remotely the encryption policies that employees must then follow when using removable devices for storing and retrieving data.
Lexar SAFE PSD Integration
DeviceLock detects hardware-encrypted Lexar SAFE PSD 1100 USB drives and gives them special "encrypted" permissions.
